Trigonocephalie 2 ist eine autosomal dominante Erkrankung, die durch Mutationen im FREM1-Gen hervorgerufen wird. Die Fehlbildungen des Kopfes beinhalten neben der Trigonocephalie eine metopische Craniosynostose und bei einigen Patienten eine Mikrozephalie und Hypertelorismus.
