Der CR1-Mangel ist durch einen Defekt im Komplementrezeptor Gen CR1 gekennzeichnet. Dieser Mangel führt zu graduell unterschiedlichen Auswirkungen auf die Entwicklung von Autoimmunerkrankungen, wie Lupus erythematodes, Erkrankungen mit Komplementdysregulation, wie MPGN, und Infektionskrankheiten, wie Malaria.
