Der familiärer Chilblain-Lupus 1 ist eine autosomal dominante Erkrankung, die durch Mutationen im TREX1-Gen hervorgerufen wird. Die Symptome zeigen sich meist in frühester Kindheit mit Rötung, Juckreiz und und manchmal verrukösem Aspekt. Die Symptome verstärken sich bei nasskaltem Klima, während in den Sommermonaten oft eine Remission zu beobachten ist.
Die Prävalenz aller familiärer Chilblain-Lupus-Erkrankungen liegt unter 1:1.000.000.
Im Labor zeigen sich erhöhte Entzündungswerte und antinukleäre Antikörper.
