Kleiner Ubiquitin-related Modifikator 4
Das SUMO4-Gen kodiert einen Modifikator der Ubiquitin-Aktivität gegenüber Proteinen der NF-kappa-B Signalkaskade und spielt somit eine wichtige Rolle bei der Steuerung von Entzündungsreaktionen. Genetische Varianten sind mit der Anfälligkeit für Typ 1 Diabetes assoziiert.
