Das COL4A3BP-Gen kodiert ein Kinase, welche das Goodpasture-Antigen, eine spezielle Region in der NC1-Domaine des Kollagen 4 alpha 3 (COL4A3). Ob diesem Protein eine pathogenetische Bedeutung bei der Pathogenese des Goodpasture-Syndroms zukommt, muss noch geklärt werden.
