Phospholipase A2 receptor 1

The PLA2R1 gene encodes a secretory phospholipase. Autoantibodies angainst this protein were detected in membranous glomerulonephritis and polymorphisms in this gene show a strong correlation with idiopathic membranous nephropathy.
