alpha-Ketoglutarate-abhängige Dioxygenase FTO

Die physiologische Funktion des vom FTO-Gen kodierten Enzyms ist noch nicht genau bekannt. Genetische Veränderungen in diesem Gen verursachen Wachstumsstörungen und sind mit Fettsucht und Typ 2 Diabetes assoziiert.
