Hyperandrogenism

Hyperandrogenism is the overproduction of androgens the male type steroid hormones. In particular in females, this becomes clinically obvious by hirsutism, male pattern of baldness, menstrual disturbances sometimes even ambiguous genitalia can be observed.

Diseases

Glucocorticoid resistance
Virilization becomes apparent in female patients only.
