Clinical feature: 

Definition: MODY diabetes is the autosomal dominant form of type 2 diabetes.

Pathogenesis: Genes controlling insulin secretion are responsible for this kind of diabetes. Which way also insulin sensitivity is diminished is not clear yet.

Diagnostics: 

Strategy: The following criteria are essential for the diagnosis of MODY diabetes:1. juvenile onset of diabetes.2. primarily no insulin dependency.3. autosomal dominant inheritance.4. confirmation by molecular test.
