Arteriosclerosis

Clinical feature:

Definition: Arteriosclerosis is a vascular disease in the arterial system that causes many organ disorders including myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction etc.

Pathogenesis: The pathogenesis is not fully understood. There are several risk factors known until now: these include environmantal factors (smoking, diet), thrombotic and lipid disorders.

Diagnostics:

Strategy: There are lot of investigation developed that allow us to determine localization and extention of arteriosclerotic lesions. But to clarify the pathogenesis only risk factors can be established.
