Peroxidasin-Gen
Das PXDN-Gen kodiert eine Häm-peroxidase welche in den Extrazellulärraum sezerniert wird. Dieses Enzym ist bei der Bildung der Extrazellulärmatrix beteiligt. In der Glomerulären Basalmembran scheines für die Verknüpfung der Kollegen IV-Ketten im Bereich der NC1-Domäne verantwortlich zu sein. Deshalb vermuten einige Wissenschaftler, dass dieses Protein eine Bedeutung für die NEtwicklung glomerulärer Erkrankungen besitzen kann.
