das ITGA8-Gen kodiert eine heterodimers trasnmembranöses Rezeptorprotein, welche eine besondere Bedeutung in der Signaltransduktion besitzt. Mutationen sind meist rezessiv für die renale Aplasie 1 verantwortlich.
