Insulinpromotor Faktor 1
Das Gen kodiert einen Transkriptionsaktivator für verschiedene Gene, die die Entwicklung der endokrinen Pankreasfunktion und die Insulinsekretion steuern. Mutationen führen zu einem autosomal dominanten Diabetes MODY4. Die Pankreasagenesie 1 mit Verlust der exokrinen und endokrinen Pankreasfunktion und permanentem neonatalem Diabetes mellitus ist eine autosomal rezessive Erkrankung.
