Lymphangioleiomyomatose ist eine überwiegen Frauen betreffende zystsche Lungenerkrankung. Ursache ist eine myomatöse Veränderung der Lymphgefäße im Thorax und Abdomen aufgrund von Mutationen in den Genen der tuberösen Sklerose (TSC1 und TSC2). Die Symptomatik besteht vor allem in zunehmender Dyspnoe, Chylothorax und peripheren Ödemen. Es können auch noch weitere Symptome der Tuberösen Sklerose, wie Angiomyolipome der Niere, hinzutreten.
