Die Brachydaktylie vom Typ A3 ist eine autosomal dominante Erkrankung, deren genetische Ursache noch nicht geklärt ist. Charakteristisch ist die Verkürzung der Mittelphalangen des 5., nach radial geneigten Fingers. Neben dem Kleinwuchs sind weitere Skelettabnormalitäten zu beobachten.
