Die Erwachsenen-Citrullinämie ist eine autosomal rezessive Erkrankung des Harnstoffzyklus, die auf einem Defekt des Enzyms Argininosuccimatsynthetase (ASS) beruht und zu einer Anreicherung von Citrullin, dem Substrat des Enzyms, und Ammoniak, dem Substat des Harnstoffzyklus, führt.
